The long-awaited next episode, where you establish a territory and raise a litter of wolf pups, will be released on December 30th! This will be a free update if you have purchased WolfQuest 2.7 or WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition. You are a young gray wolf. Born in the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park, you learned the ways of the wolf in your family pack. Now you are venturing out on your own — to explore, hunt, find a mate, establish territory, and raise your own family. Your quest begins on the slopes of Amethyst Mountain. Electronic craps strategy. Here you must test your hunting skills against elk, moose, and mule deer. Once you're a skilled hunter, you can seek out another wolf to become your mate.

Then, together, you venture to Slough Creek, cutting through the the mountains north of the Lamar Valley, to establish a territory and den site and raise a litter of pups. You must feed them, play with them, protect them from deadly competitors, and take them on a cross-country journey to a summer home. Can your little family pack succeed? Explore WolfQuest's realistic recreation of the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park — 'the Serengeti of North America' — where herds of elk and other ungulates roam the sagebrush steppe grasslands, alpine forests, and magnificent high ridges. But watch out for packs of stranger wolves, who patrol their territories and don't look kindly on intruders. The wilderness brims with other dangers as well — grizzly bears, cougars, and coyotes — who all vie with you for territory and food.

WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition
As of January 2021, we have released two episodes: Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek, as well as the Lost River Classic map, for PC/Mac on Steam and itch.io, as Early Access.
While in Early Access, we are updating the game frequently with more features and multiplayer (available now for Amethyst Mountain and coming soon for Slough Creek).
The mobile version will come after the game is completed on PC/Mac platforms.
We'll then resume development of the next episode, the Tower Fall expansion (DLC).
What is WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition?
WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition is a complete remake of the current game. The basic mission arc will be the same. However, WolfQuest 3 will have a new codebase and much of the core gameplay will be reimagined. We've rethought and redesigned each system of the game, from the wolf-controller to stranger wolves (both hostile and potentially friendly) to hunting mechanics to elk herding behaviors. We've made vastly larger and more realistic maps. There is new and improved 3D animal models and animations living in a world of more realistic terrain and flora. In every way, it is a bigger and better version of the game.

Tower Fall Episode
WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition will be followed by an all-new episode, Tower Fall, which will be DLC and will take the story of your pack through the summer and fall.
Will WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition be available on mobile?
WolfQuest is available for Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, Android & Kindle. So yes, WolfQuest 3 will be available for mobile phones and tablets..at least some of them, and/or in some form. Bigger maps and more animals may be too much for mobile devices with limited RAM memory. We'll do our best, but some low-end mobile devices will not be powerful enough to run the game. We will keep WolfQuest 2.7 (the current game) available as well (for both computers and mobile).
